Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all design services provided by Hall & Co. Studio ("the Studio", "I", "me" or "my"). By accepting a proposal, paying a deposit or engaging my services, you agree to these terms.

2. Services

Hall & Co. Studio provides creative services including, but not limited to:

  • Brand Identity Design

  • Brand Guidelines

  • Creative Rollout

  • Editorial Design

  • Print Design

  • Packaging

  • Presentation Design

  • Squarespace Website Design

  • Digital Assets

  • Ongoing Freelance Design Support

The scope of each project will be outlined within your proposal before work begins.

3. Quotations & Acceptance

All quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

A project is confirmed once:

  • the proposal has been accepted;

  • any required deposit has been received; and

  • all requested onboarding information has been supplied.

4. Payments

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • A 50% deposit is required before work commences.

  • The remaining balance is payable prior to the release of final artwork or website transfer.

  • Invoices are payable within 14 days.

For ongoing freelance support or retainers, invoices will be issued monthly unless otherwise agreed.

Late payments may incur statutory interest in accordance with UK legislation.

5. Project Timelines

Estimated timelines will be provided before work begins.

Project schedules rely on timely communication and feedback from the client.

Where approvals, content or assets are delayed, project timelines may need to be adjusted accordingly.

If a project remains inactive for more than 30 days without communication, Hall & Co. Studio reserves the right to reschedule the remaining work.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for supplying:

  • written content

  • imagery

  • logos (where applicable)

  • brand information

  • approvals

  • any other materials required to complete the project

The client confirms they own or have permission to use all supplied content.

7. Revisions

Projects include a reasonable number of revisions, as outlined within your proposal.

Additional revisions or changes outside the agreed project scope may incur additional charges.

Any significant change of direction after concepts have been presented may be treated as a new phase of work.

8. Final Artwork

Final files will be supplied once the final invoice has been paid in full.

Depending on the project, deliverables may include:

  • PDF

  • PNG

  • JPEG

  • SVG

  • EPS

  • AI

  • Brand Guidelines

Working files remain the property of Hall & Co. Studio unless otherwise agreed.

9. Intellectual Property

Copyright of all creative work remains with Hall & Co. Studio until full payment has been received.

Following final payment, ownership of the approved final artwork transfers to the client for the intended use outlined within the project.

Hall & Co. Studio retains the right to display completed work within portfolios, social media, award submissions and promotional material unless a written confidentiality agreement has been agreed beforehand.

10. Print Production

Whilst every effort is made to ensure artwork is supplied accurately, Hall & Co. Studio cannot accept responsibility for printing errors once artwork has been approved by the client.

It is the client's responsibility to carefully review all artwork before approving it for production.

Print costs are not included unless specifically stated within the proposal.

11. Website Projects

Where applicable, clients are responsible for:

  • Squarespace subscription fees

  • domain registration

  • hosting

  • ongoing website maintenance following project completion

Hall & Co. Studio will supply a fully designed website based on the agreed scope of work.

Any additional pages, functionality or content requested after approval may be quoted separately.

12. Freelance Design Support

For clients engaging Hall & Co. Studio on an ongoing freelance basis:

  • support may be booked on a retainer or project basis;

  • availability cannot be guaranteed without prior booking;

  • work will be prioritised according to agreed schedules;

  • additional work outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately.

13. Cancellations

Should a project be cancelled after work has commenced, payment will be required for all work completed up to the cancellation date.

Deposits are non-refundable.

If Hall & Co. Studio is unable to complete a project due to unforeseen circumstances, any fees relating to work not yet completed will be refunded.

14. Confidentiality

Any confidential information shared throughout the course of a project will remain confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties unless required by law.

Likewise, clients agree not to share proposals, concepts or working files without prior written permission.

15. Limitation of Liability

Hall & Co. Studio shall not be held liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of any supplied artwork, website or design materials.

While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, the client accepts responsibility for reviewing and approving all final content before publication or print.

16. Privacy

Any personal information collected throughout the course of a project will only be used for the purpose of delivering agreed services and communicating with clients.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
